Mixed Media Makes January

Hi Crafty Bloggers

I hope you are well and it's perfect weather here for crafting with all the snow and rain we have had in January . I have finished the Petite Vue class by Toni Burt online with the last 3  more sketches. Needing to practise perspective more but am inproving which each one !!

Here is another I tried myself using a photo of a vintage door for reference .
Cant wait to try out some more gorgeous buildings.

Another class I thourghly enjoyed from Toni burt is Loose Ladies.
I have learned to practise /sketch them first before adding any paint lol !!!
Really enjoying drawing again as I loved to when I was very young ;0)

Here are my first practise sketches on watercolour paper following the classes

Here all the loose ladies on canvas !
A different texture to paint on which was fun was harder to be loose
but each layer dried quicker than the paper .

I have tried an couple of awseome youtube videos with Marta from Maremi Small Art
First two quick cards with her abstract circle technique quick and fun to do  !

This decorated notebook with Marta's awesome old door technique
so enjoyed making this loved the end result !

Lastly I was inspired by a tutorial from Tiffany Solario on Youtube to make this canvas !!

I hope you are inspired to get crafty

I used the love die on the heart at the top which is tucked in the inside of the card . The envelope die I have added a little metal fastening and plan to put in a gift card . The squares left from the heart die I used to make the denim pocket and placed a tiny scrap of material inside for the handkerchief and I used a white gel pen for the faux stitching . Mixed Media Nov /Dec Makes

Hi Crafty Bloggers

My mixed media journey continues and mainly in watercolour .

I saw a youtube video with K Werner and it was really quick and easy to make these Christmas cards .with low tack tape to mask a tree with wet on wet technique for the colours
and a pen to finish with doodles .
It was so nice to craft with my daughter who made these

and these too love how whimsical they look ;0)

Here is an example of one I made using gold watercolour and a Magnolia text stamp .

These were so much fun to make and were made from a tutorial from Maremi SmallArt on youtube  ,
I have used lots of scraps of lace and some new lace from the Trinket Parlour/Lace Attic on facebook The beads I bought from ebay and the chipboard star was a gift which I covered in glitter from Nuvo and also nuvo drops around the tree.

I made this one too tall so put is sideways and added a tag from
The Trinket parlous adore the pearl clusters from there as well !!

And another in the same style had so much fun making these

Here is another quick hand drawn and watercolored card again inspiration from K Werner
loved doodling when dry with gel pens .

I loved this cheeky snowman and the tutorial came from
Maria Raczynska using watercolours again from youtube

I was inspired to make a small canvas inspired by Tiffany Solario on youtube using string and lots of gorgeous resin pieces and metal embellishments from The Trinket Parlour . I added prima cabachons and I painted then all with white gesso and used sprays to colour and then used white guesso with a dry brush to highlight .

I have seen advertised lots of colourful artwork here in Scotland featuring our Highland cattle so thought I would get my pastels out and have a go at freehand drawing the cow and then using graphite and pastels to colour , Thre background was inspired by Toni Burt from her classes .

My current lessons from Toni burt are sketchung buildings and adding watercolor the lessons teach us to be loose with our paunts and pens

This is my second attempt and I am enjoying trying this out think it may become addictive aand the possibilities with practise will be endless

Just need more time to finish the class !!

I would like to wish everyone of you crafty peeps
a Magical Christmas and an Awesome 2018 !! See you then ;0)
Thank you for popping by my wee blog
