BASICGREY CHALLENGE

You will never guess what ? I went to work the other day and noticed I had stickles all over the back of my mobile I had a wee chuckle to myself lol !

I have made this delightful easel card for the Basicgrey Challenges Blog. This fortnight the challenge is flower power.

I have used the June Bug 6x6 Paper pad. I cut out the hearts and flowers with the  colourful papers.

 I wanted to also achieve a black and cream colour scheme on the card to suit the gorgeous leaning Tilda which I coloured with distress inks. I made these beautiful flowers using a tutorial from Ying have a look it is great fun !!!

I am really getting stuck into these challenges there are so many how wonderful we have all these opportunities !!! This week I have researched lots of tutorials and have learnt so much biggest point was I was using too much water with my distress inks !! My colouring is getting better !!

 I have made this wonderful card using Bazzil cardstock. I have embossed the pink card with my cuttlebug folder. I just love Berisford ribbon the quality is just superior. I have discovered pinflair glue too after using so many types this does the job the best and sticks anything so much easier . I used these sweet little batique flowers I bought on ebay I love the bright colours. I made the heart with crackle paint and added a lovely blue rhinestone and natural twining.

 I have not coloured many Edwin stamps so this was a lovely change how dapper does he look in his suit ?. The stamped sentiment is " May you always know how wonderful you are !".  Love the collection of new stamps from Magnolia just want them all !!!

All You Need Is Love !!!

Hi I am on a roll I am entering lots of challenges. Great excuse to get my crafting goodies out !!! lol
I have made a card inspired by Friday Sketcher's sketch

This is my second go at a sketch . I enjoy using these as I feel I learn so much putting them together.

I have coloured Magnolia with fire brick red distress ink and added stardust stickles to her dress and wee socks. I have saved my favourite Basic Grey June Bug Red Dotted paper and Bazzill for the layering. I used my guillotine and cuttlebug to cut the layers , tag ,spellbinders large circles and hearts.
I have used word for the writing and printed onto card. Lastly I used up some large red rhinestones I had left over from crafting Christmas cards.

The inspiration for the text and for  a Valentines Card came from The Cuttlebug Spot challenge which is such a fun idea "Inspired by a song " I have chosen All you need is love by the Beatles my mum will love it lol I used some lyrics inside too ! . Have a look great blog !!

Here she is  the delightful Tilda ready to party. I have used my lovely Basic Grey June Bug & Bazzil Papers. The cuttlebug for my netabilites large circles, present stamp and tags. Papermania flowers and brads. I am still practising colouring Tilda with distress inks !!!. Lastly I have added stickles . I am definately getting better at layering too !! I used word for my Let's Party & Happy Birthday.

Basic Grey Papers for Inspiartion For Challenges !!!

I got these wonderful papers by Basic Grey. They gave me the inspiration to get my distress inks out and be colourful with Magnolia Tilda and her teddy bear . I have used a large white button, beautiful white crochet lace and lastly some white roses all from my local Arts & Craft Shop. I topped them with sugar glitter !!! I am entering this card into Papertake Weekly & Just Magnolia . Hope you like it as I had a go at layering with this card !!! :)

Sir Stampalot Challenge

Hi Bloggers / Crafters

Had a lovely day off and made this card.I have done a few blog hops too which is a great way to have some fun and get loads of inspiration. The inspiration came from this challenge which I have added the theme of A Winter's Tale incorporating quotes from Shakespeare. I have used lashings of lace , distress inks and stickles. I hope I have achieved an olde world look. I have been researching and I know that I need to practise my painting with distress inks,definately neeed to master layers and less embellishments ! as my fiance pointed out I tend to overdo my cards.
