Just Magnolia Challenge Week 103 - Sketch

Hi Everyone

I Hope you are all enjoying the bank holiday and are sick of the sight of chocolate lol.
I have made a card today for the Just Magnolia Hanglar & Stanglar Challenge blog which is a sketch which I  turned :)

I have only discovered Magnolia about 6 months again so I have all these gorgeous stamps from previous collections to find and play with too ! So I picked The fairytale collection for my project this week.  I made a wee cameo from some Magnolia Paper and I cut a  oval which I decorated with half pearls and put all over it Tim Holtz Glossy accents and then left it to dry for forever lol . Figure you could make lots of different types. The possibilities are endless !!!

First of all I wanted to make a gift tag and envelope so I found a tutorial on youtube but scrapped that idea and just made it up lol !! The inside has a wee envelope with a tag. The envelope was just the same as making a criss cross card if you want to look it up and have a go.

I tried doing softer colouring and really liked the results. I think everyone has a style can you tell I haven't figured mine out yet !!! Do you think you have to have a style ?
So here is my tag

Recipe :- Magnolia Fairytale Collection 2010
Mediums - primacolor pencils, sansador to blend on white 240gsm smooth paper. Distress inks.
Papers/Cardstock - K &  Co Natural Recycled Card Bo Bunny & Magnolia

Other Stuff - Tim Holtz Die Cuts, Anita's Butterfly stickers, half flat pearls, natural twine, thread and buttons from own stash. Berisford double satin ribbon. Flowers and seam binding from WOC. Stickles stardust & platinum.

Wild Orchid Challenge - Challenge 21 - Wings

Hi Eveyone that is blog hopping here

This is  my second post for this week.  I have just bought some Sarah Kay stamps and was itching to colour them. I love the detail and I want her clothes and figure lol. I made this card with Bo Bunny Papers as they have so many beautiful butterflies on them. Don't you just hate having to choose when they are double sided lol. The Wild Orchid Challenge has just the most stunning prize and this week the theme is wings so I chose these papers for my inspiration. I used this tree charm too that I had won with some brown organza ribbon hanging from a Tim Holtz hitch fastener . I have tied a double bow with cameo beige seam binding and attached a pearl brad to hold it together. These beautiful flowers and lace from WOC were added too .

I coloured her with my prismacolor pencils and blended with sansador. I added platinum stickles to her top and scarf. Isn't this wee Kitty just so sweet !!

I also decorated this one inside with another beautiful stamp and cut one of the butterflies from the excess paper.

Lastly I found these garden tools that I had bought about a year ago when I  bought make a card kit from ebay. I look back and think how awful the kit was lol but it gave me the first ideas to research to what I am doing know.  I have came along way in just a year and I love how there is so much to try out !!

Thank you to all the fabulous sites I follow for tips ,  super challenges and most of all inspiration.

Bye For Now Kitty :)

Just Magnolia - Week 101 Sketch by Bev

Hi Crafters & Bloggers

I had just the most wonderful weekend enjoying this beautiful weather. We recently took on a Retired Greyhound called Suzie who did not have a very nice life as a race dog and she is so quiet and nervous amongst other problems. We fixed all the garden and yesterday she thoroughly enjoyed sprinting about and playing with her toys , she is slowly coming out of her shell. She is such a lovely lady. We also let out our young cat Ari out for the first time he was just mesmerised by the butterflies and bugs.

I  followed  Bev's cool sketch as inspiration though I don't have any ovals or stars so I hope it's okay. I kind of went mad with sewing machine stitching everything lol. I also tried tearing the paper and sewing around the edges. I also spent hours on my colouring with the prismacolor pencils. I just love these butterfly dreams stamps so much I put another one inside !

I also had to add some flowers to and play with my flowersoft !!

The papers are Prima Floral and they are so divine I think it is a crime to cover any part of them ! I used these so pretty flowers from WOC and Lace.

Hope you are enjoying the sunshine too.
Thanks for visiting.

Spring & New Goodies !!!

Hi It's me again !!!
Hope your week is going good !

I have made a gorgeous gift box with envelope and tag using my new goodies with the theme of spring. I used a tutorial to help me and which gave me the inspiration.

I used distress inks to paint this darling LOTV Girl and her dog on the swing - stamped onto waterford 300gsm HP paper with versafine black ink. I finished with a white sakura pen and stickles to her wee bows.

I used papers from Bo Bunny & Prima for the backgrounds and cut the butterflies and tiny leaves from them. I stitched all the panels. I did my first order from WOC and got these stunning daffodils and lace. I was a wee bit dissapointed though as nearly everything I wanted to order was out of stock and when my fella gets the card out it could be now or never lol !! I used my cuttlebug for the letters .  I used flowersoft for the first time and wow I love the effect !!!

I did not want to waste a bit of these lush papaers so I even made my own blades of grass.  I also love distressing card with my scissors . I played with my first seam binding and made this bow on the back where the sentiment can be written.

Sorry for all the pics but I was so pleased with myself as I feel I am definately getting better when I look back at my earlier projects.

I would like to enter this Gift Card into LOTV Challenge blog where the theme is spring
where I got my inspiration from using the daffodils and die cutting the word spring.

I would like to also enter this fabby challenge for Papertake weekly - Anything goes with something new. I am a lucky lady, my new goodies were the flowers, lace, seam binding from WOC and the flowersoft.

Thankyou so much for Visiting and for your comments !! Kitty :) x

Mother's Day & Just Magnolia /Anything goes

Hi Visitors to Crafty Blogland

I had a wonderful Sunday with  my family and we spoiled my mum so much it was just so lovely. I made this card for my mum. It is very plain and simple as she will not  let me  put too many embellishments on as she tells me to keep them for cards that have been ordered lol !! She saw me painting this with my distress inks and made a big fuss so I kept it for her.

I machine stitched the dovecraft paper to Bazzill cardstock. I then added the doily die cut and distressed then and finished with half pearls. I stamped some card with this sentiment and used teeny weeny half pearls. Lastly I used frosted lace stickles on her. I am so pleased with my painting on this one !

I am entering this card into the Just Magnolia Hanglar Stanglar Challenge Blog where anything goes !!

Off to do my next post before bedtime. Bye xxx
