TOMIC Challenge No 8 Stitching Faux or Real .

Hi  Crafty Bloggers

Wow the weather here has been so wonderful it definitely puts a spring in your step !! I treated myself to some new papers and they are so pretty !! I got them from Hobbycraft ( managed to drag my fella in with me after about 40 mins he lost the will to live !.  I could have been in there for at least another hour lol)  It was so nice to actually see them and match them up as I  usually shop online. I decided to pick  Hopscotch Magnolia for this one.  Love this one just brings back so many memories . There is chalk all over the payment outside,  the kids in the street have been having great fun !! I have coloured her softly with prismacolor pencils . I managed to get this made to enter TOMIC challenge No 8 which is stitching I have used real!!!

I made a criss cross card from a splitcoast stampers tutorial . It looks like an envelope with a card and I added a wee tag. Had to use up every inch of these papers ! I stitched the panels with my sewing machine without thread. I quite like the effect of the plain punched holes. I also machined stitched the panel onto the card . As an embellishment I machine stitched around the stamped moment sentiment on a different setting ! Lastly I made the flower with with sheer organza ribbon by sewing/ tacking it along one side and pulling the thread to ruffle to the centre. I popped this pebble brad to finish.

I think it's the lace that goes so well with these colours !!

I had great fun making this one. Hope you like it too!!

Recipe -
Magnolia stamped on 300gsm craft card with memento black ink. Wooden moment stamp with momento rich cocoa ink onto card stock .
Medium - prismacolor pencils blended with sansodor. Distress Inks .

Embellishments - Making memories paperie riverie pebble & flower . Berisford chocolate satin ribbon flat backed half pearls, chocolate double satin ribbon, Hobbycraft ceam lace , natural brown button and sheer organza ribbon. Purple thin ribbon from stash. Stardust stickles.

TeddyBea !! Puppy Love !!

Hi Crafty Bloggers

Wow what a stunning day the sun is shining away !! In order to restore my crafty inspiration I just needed a Teddybo image and a visit to Hobbycraft and hey presto my imagination is running wild !! So I am looking forward to a crafty afternoon tomorrow !!

I made this on Monday and just getting round to posting as Mr Blogger was very naughty and would not let me post !!! This weeks challenge at Teddybo is Teddybea only so many cool pics to choose from !! I picked Teddybea_024 . How cute is she !!!

I find it so easy and enjoyable to colour her. I thought |I would make a card quite simple and more modern.

I love this shape of card I got the inspiration from one of my favourite blogs. I have cut a bone shape and painted it with crackle paint and then distressed with the distress ink antique linen ! I made these tiny pink flowers and hearts with a tiny cuttlebug die. I popped a tiny pearl in the centre quite pleased with the result ! I have been looking at flower punches there are so many to choose from !! I had a go at embossing my sentiment with clear powder and my heat gun will try it again but with a darker ink lol ! I love playing with different products and techniques , definitely takes a few more goes to get it right though lol !

If you have not been over to their blog you must visit, I was laughing so much at the fact the designer makes the bears pose so she can draw them !! Love their sense of humour ! Also one of my favourite blogs for inspiration is having the most stunning vintage candy to win so why not pop over and have a look just click on the picture below to take you to Tab's cool blog and candy !!! Teddybo Challenge - Anything but a card !! Time please !

Hi Crafty Blogger friends !!

How are you all ! Well the sun has been shining here in Bonnie Scotland for two days. It has been so hot . I have taken the opportunity to wash everything I can think of even down to Suzie's ( the couch potato Greyhound ) three sets of slippers and two teddies are on the washing line as we speak lol ( We can't have slippers because she likes to have them all too herself lol).

This is my favourite type of challenge . I got some inspiration from the DT's and the fact that instead of ordering one new clock mechanism I ended up with six lol.

I have used this digi image which is my all time favourite because it's a Teddy dressed up as a Kitty lol !!! I have added lots of cut out digi elements and this beautiful double satin ribbon and prima flower. I have used my bedroom colours as I am going to be selfish and keep it all for myself  !!!
