Mixed Media Makes August /September

Hi Crafty Bloggers

It's been super hectic and I have been crafting for an hour here and there to relax . Firstly I have decorated a brown kraft bag with gorgeous goodies from Liza's Craft shop . The theme this time was  the SEA and there was so many beautiful hand picked items .

I have primed the chipboard first . Then I glued the papers and ephemera to the bag . I then primed them and the whole area . Once dry I have used some texture paste and some stencils and then used Lindys stamp gang sprays to colour the page . I have used some graphite to add shadows all around and then added the netting rope and bling .

I have been learning with turorials online with
I have learned so much and made this arty folder
to place all my artwork in . So much fun and really cheap to make !!

I also did some classes on watercolor there and I am learning about sketchibg faces

She is quite masculine so learning about placement of drawing features and how to sketch loosely as currently I am trying to be a perfectionist lol !!

I am practising eyes and noses so hard to get right lol !!

I have been inspired by Marta on MaremiSmallArt and at Maremi's Creative Cafe on facebook !!

I have made a journal  page inspired by her Whisper Board

I have used stencils, lace applique and hessian to add texture and used a mix of 14 arts sprays and Lindys stamp gang to colour with some graphite to add shadows . Lastly I have added some flowers from The Trinket Parlour and some of Marta's stickers and gems to decorate .

More inspiration from the Whispers Boards

Using watercolours on all three !!

Here is apage using one of the tutorials on youtube using designer paper and punched circles loved how this turned out !!

I can see so much progress and I am addicted to sketching faces at the moment as you can tell
so much to try out and not enough time !!

Thank you for visiting my page

  1. Wowzer! Your drawing is amazing. I love the faces that you have watercoloured, but my favourite is the sea themed gift bag. It makes me want to dive right in. If only I were a Mermaid? He He!
The texture, colours and detail are stunning. A real feast on the eyes.
    Amazing work hun!
